Excellent book!! Some of the best teaching on the necessity of being filled with God's Holy Spirit. Why would we ever settle for less?
Well written, years ago, so it's a bit difficult to understand, however it is straight forward on disciplining ones life to improved communication with God.
The most misunderstood parts of the New covenant, this book really places Pentecost with understanding and power. If only the church today would see the full blessing of Pentecost.
Murray's writing is as vital today as it was when he wrote and cuts to the root of the Gospel which, without the Pentecostal power of the Holy Spirit is nothing more than vain religion. "The kingdom of God is not a matter of talk but of power." (I Cor. 420)
This is the best work of the New Covenant I have ever found. It explains how Pentecost still works in our life today. It was as much for us today as it was for the early church.
If you wish to be filled with the Holy Spirit this is the book which will help you attain that.
There are many opinions about receiving the 'Baptism of the Holy Spirit'. Andrew Murray led one of the world's great revivals - little known because it happened in remote South Africa - nevertheless equal in life changing impact to the great world revivals of the mid 19th century. For this reason I find his teaching on the "Full Blessing Of Pentecost" to be the most exciting, powerful and Biblically accurate of all the views I have heard.
